It had some CK2-ish events, but I never saw any characters do anything and I kind of didn't care about them, since there wasn't any handing out of lands or succession or anything. I basically just cycled through the basic strategy game cycle of ganking a smaller neighbor, consolidating, and repeating for a couple of hours. It overall felt playable but kind of empty over the first few hours.
It was a pretty easy walk so far, with no real conflict besides what I initiated.
